Evidence Based Medicine and Clinical Practice Guideline have been gaining recognition in medical practice, medical education and health policy consideration. It is our purpose to gather experts from Asia Pacific area as well as professionals from this region to discuss the progress and exchange of opinions. At the same time, we invite foremost experts from Europe and North America as well as Australia to instruct us on basics and most recent development of EBM and CPG. It is our intention to continue the mission of Asia Pacific Alliance on Evidence Based Medicine.

The first Asia Pacific Evidence Based Conference was held in Hong Kong in year 2004 to meet the district need for a long term collaboration in EBM development. Representatives from 12 countries and areas participated in this conference and initiated the Asia Pacific Evidence Based Medicine Network (APEBMN). The first Network Conference was held in Hong Kong on December 8, 2006 with over 250 delegates from some 30 countries and regions participated in the conference. Six new country/region members joined the Network.

This year Network Conference will be held in Taiwan on November 16 through 18, 2007. As recognizing evidence-based care need support from the whole health care disciplines, this year the theme of the conference will be highlighted by ‘Promoting Evidence-Based Integrated Healthcare’. The meeting will consist of one-day workshop, two-day plenary sessions and free papers presentation. Well-known experts will be invited to give spectacular speech and conduct workshop. All of scholars, educators and medical practitioners who are interested in the topics are welcomed to join.

We look forward to seeing you in Taipei in 2007!
